Wiki of Interactive Web Software:

According to Andrew J. Milne, higher education is entering a new age, “an interactivity age—a time in which information is seen additionally as something with which, and around which, people can interact.” The success of social networking Websites like MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, etc., seems to confirm his opinion that Internet users are seeking human-to-human interaction rather than just the human-to-information relationships of the first generation of users. The question remains, however, of how to apply the interactivity of these software platforms to the educational enterprise of colleges and universities. Can you imagine how social sites, blogs, wikis, picture- and video-sharing sites, gaming sites, etc. could be be used in the context of the classes that you are currently taking? Be as specific as you can in describing projects and activities as well as connecting these to the outcomes of the classes for which they could be used.
